Itinerary
Day 1 : Guwahati – Tezpur
Arrive Guwahati and transfer to Tezpur - reach in the evening and check in at hotel. Visit the local market and stay Night halt at Tezpur.
Day 2 : Tezpur – Dirang
After early breakfast proceeding to Dirang - enroute complete the Inner Line Permit (ILP)
formalities at Bhalukpung before driving alongside the river Kameng uphill stopping at Baba Mandir and Bomdila. Reach Dirang in the evening Night halt at Dirang.
Day 3 : Dirang –Tawang
After early breakfast proceeding to Tawang - enroute drive past the Sela Pass at 13,700 ft -
the second highest motorable road in India. Stop at Jaswant Garh to pay homage to the brave soldiers of the 1962 Indo-China aggression. Reach Tawang in the evening. Night halt at Tawang.
Day 4 : Tawang
Full day at Tawang visiting the Monasteries, the craft center, the war memorial & the local market during the day. Night halt at Tawang.
Day 5 : Tawang
After breakfast drive to Ptso Lake (Madhuri Lake) on the northen side and subject to availability of permit from the local administration/army & weather conditions drive upto Bumla on the Indo-China border. Return to Tawang in the evening & check in at hotel. Night halt at Tawang.
Day 6 : Tawang – Bomdila
Drive back to Bomdila through the Sela Pass again enroute stopping at at the waterfalls and the lake. Reach Bomdila in the evening & check in at hotel. Night halt at Bomdila.
Day 7 : Bomdila – Kaziranga
After breakfast proceeding to Kaziranga to reach in the evening & Check in at hotel. Night halt at Kaziranga.
Day 8 : Kaziranga
Full day at Kaziranga to enjoy elephant safaris & jeep safaris in the national park (from may till October only joy ride on elephant, jeep rides on the outer
fringes on the park. Evening enjoy assmi(bihu) traditional folk dance Night halt at Kaziranga.
Day 9 : Kaziranga – Shilong
After early breakfast drive to Shilong - enroute stop at the Umium Lake. Reach Shilong in the
evening and check in at hotel Night halt at Shilong.
Day 10 : Shilong
Full day excursion visit to Cherrapunjee (56kms/2hrs) - at Cherrapunjee visit the Mawsmai caves, the
Nokhalikai Falls before returning to Shilong and enroute visiting the Shilong the Shilong Peak and the Elephant Falls. Night halt at Shilong
Day 11 : Shilong – Guwahati
Full day at Shilong visiting the museum, the wards lake, the catholic cathedral and the local market during the day. Night halt at Shilong.
Day 12 : Guwahati - Hometown
